Seasonbell: frequently asked questions

I'm not getting new-season alerts.

Check that notifications are allowed for Seasonbell in the iPhone Settings app, and that the bell next to the show is on (filled) in Seasonbell. Alerts arrive when a new season is announced, which can be weeks or months before it airs. Opening the app or pulling down on your list checks for news right away.

How does the free trial work?

Everything is free for 7 days. After that, Seasonbell asks you to unlock it with a one-time $1.99 purchase. Nothing is deleted when the trial ends — your shows are waiting for you when you unlock.

I already paid. How do I unlock Seasonbell on a new iPhone?

Open Seasonbell, tap the gear button, then tap Restore Purchase. Use the same Apple Account you bought it with. Family Sharing members can restore it too.

How do I keep my list the same on all my devices?

Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple Account on each device, then make sure iCloud Sync is on in Seasonbell's Settings (gear button). Changes usually appear on your other devices within a minute.

Can I watch full episodes inside Seasonbell?

Trailers and previews play inside the app. Full episodes are only available in each streaming service's own app — tap Watch to open it, or to get it from the App Store.

A show's information or premiere date looks wrong.

Seasonbell gets show information from TVmaze, a community-edited TV database. Corrections made there appear in Seasonbell automatically, usually within a few hours.

How does Seasonbell work on iPhone Duo?

Unfold your iPhone Duo and your list appears on one side of the fold, with the selected show's trailer, ratings and details on the other. Fold it and Seasonbell switches to a single column on the cover screen.
